Hyderabad 04 Nov 2011 (Hyderabad Deccan News) : The inauguration of the 23rd Sub-Junior National Kabaddi Championship for Boys and Girls organized by Jyoti Youth Club and Ranga Reddy District Kabaddi Association under the auspices of Hyderabad State Kabaddi Association and Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India held at Jyoti Youth Club Grounds, Saroornagar, Hyderabad today.

Sri G. Kishan Reddy, MLA was the Chief Guest and Sri Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudhiraj, Ex-MLC and President, Hyderabad Kabaddi Association presided. The other Guests attended are Sri K. Janardhan Reddy, MLC, Sri Amrender Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sri Ram Mohan Goud, Chairman, Hyd Market Committee, Sri B. Mahender Yadav, Vice-Chairman, Hyd Market Committee, Sri Rajasekhar Reddy, Chairman, Gadianarram Market Committee and Sri K. Jagadishwer Yadav, General Secretary, AKFI.

NCC girls' team to scale 6,001-metre peak Mount Deo-Tibba New Delhi, May 20, 2015: An NCC girls expedition to the 6,001-metre-high Mount Deo-Tibba peak was flagged off from here by Director General Lt. Gen. A. Chakravarty on Wednesday.

This is the first of a series of training and preparatory expeditions for the NCC Everest expedition in 2016.

These cadets have been selected after extensive trials conducted at hubs all over the country followed by rigorous training at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling where cadets were trained in ice/rock craft survival skills and rescue.
