Spero Hospitals to set up 5 multi-specialty hospitals next year
New Delhi, Aug 5: Spero Hospitals Group, a venture of NRIs and US citizens to set up a chain of 125-150 bedded multi-specialty hospitals, will establish five hospitals across the country next year.
The Group, which has successfully launched its first hospital --Om Spero Hospital--at Palwal in Haryana, is working on setting up of five more such hospitals in Tier-II and III cities across the country.
"The Group is now engaged in establishing 5 more hospitals in the coming one year," said Dr Sanjiv Malik, Chairman and Managing Director, SPERO Hospitals Group.
Om Spero Hospital is a comprehensive healthcare facility providing out-patient services, diagnostic services, emergency and critical care services and in-patient services.
At the Palwal hospital, the 24-hour diagnostic services and a team of surgeons, physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, gynaecologists, critical care specialists, radiologist, pathologists ensures there is no delay in the treatment.
"At Om Spero Hospital, we have tried to leverage ICT to impart affordable healthcare to the needy in India. Going forward we intend to incorporate National Healthcare Prgrammes in our routine activity at some point of time," Dr Malik said.
He said the Group also intends to initiate programmes related to safe motherhood and prevention of female foeticide.
"Being able to provide quality healthcare at the doorstep one can save innumerable lives of patients reaching a good facility within the 'golden hour'. We are now looking forward to replicate this successful model all over the country," Dr Malik said.
Recently, Om Spero Hospital has been awarded the "Most Affordable Hospital" in India at the eWorld Forum 2011 in recognition of providing most affordable healthcare to the masses at the same time maintaining quality and integrity.
The award was conferred upon Dr Malik here at a function co-organised by the Union Ministry of Communications & IT and the Department of Science & Technology. (Agencies)
