'Shankar Rao included Jagan name after getting Ministry'

Hyderabad, August 3(Hyderabad Deccan News): YSR Congress chief Mr. Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's advocate has argued in the High Court that the Textiles minister Mr. Shankar Rao has included the name of his client (Jagan) in his letters to the High Court only after he was inducted into the State cabinet.
Arguing the case on Wednesday, he said that the first two letters of Mr. Shankar Rao to the High Court did not mention the name of Mr. Jagan. It was only after he was offered minister's post that he has included Jagan's name later, he has maintained.
Arguments in the case of Mr. Jagan's properties have continued on Wednesday also. Mr. Jagan's lawyer has contended that Mr. Shankar Rao has first written two letters to the court when he was an MLA and later bargained with the Congress High Command for a minister's post. When he was made a minister, he has included Mr. Jagan's name, the lawyer told the court. He said it was intentional.
The lawyer has said that there was not a shred of evidence to prove that Mr. Jagan's properties were ill-gotten. He has alleged that his client's name was included intentionally for political reasons. He has questioned why the then Chief Minister late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy alone was being blamed for all the decisions taken during his days.
After the morning's arguments, the case was posted for further hearing in the evening, after the lunch break.

Hyderabad, Feb 23 (INN): The discipline of old times is gone, so it appears. When a commitment is given people used to stick to that. Arm twisting by biggies is not a new phenomenon but still there was respect for values.

Now everything is done in a huff, from launch to pack-up, audio to result. What is more surprising is films are getting delayed, postponed and badly bruised.

Of late there have been many films that deferred the date of release due to what has come to be known as post production work. Announcing the date first and working at breakneck speed has become a fad which will have its ill-effects.

Dabbawallas will take a day off on August 16

Mumbai, August 5: Extending support to social activist Anna Hazare over the Lokpal Bill issue, Mumbai's famous dabbawallas (lunch-box carriers) on Friday said there would be no service on August 16, the day he proposed to start his hunger strike.
About 4,500-5,000 dabbawallas transport some 2,00,000 homemade lunch packs every day at a very low fee and with surprising punctuality. But not on August 16.
"We support Anna Hazare in his fight for the strong Lokpal Bill. On August 16, when Annaji would go on a fast, we have decided to show our support by asking our customers not to give tiffins for delivery,' said President o .... Read More
