'Jagan should apologize for voilating temple norms'

Hyderabad, July 31(Hyderabad Deccan News):: The TDP has demanded an apology from the YSR Congress chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, for dishonoring the traditions of Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple in Mantralayam.
In a statement here on Sunday, the party general secretary, Mr Chandrasekhar, has said that Mr Jagan has not only defied the temple traditions by wearing shirt while entering the temple, but also permitted his security personnel and followers to enter the temple with shoes. He said if Mr Jagan had no faith in the Hindu religion, he should keep himself away from temples and other religious places. But by defying the temple traditions, he had hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus, Mr Chandrasekhar said.
Alleging that Mr Jagan had no regard for the highly venerated traditions of the country, Mr Chandrasekhar said that his earlier act of going to Satya Sai Mandir in Puttaparti and making his supporters raising slogans hailing him was an evidence to this. He has reminded that even the President of India, Chief Minister and ministers have earlier respected the traditions of the Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple during their visits.
Demanding that Mr Jagan should immediately apologize to the devotees, Mr Chandrasekhar has also asked the government to take suitable action against him for violation of the temple norms.

Eka Veera postponed to March 2

Hyderabad, Feb 23 (INN): The discipline of old times is gone, so it appears. When a commitment is given people used to stick to that. Arm twisting by biggies is not a new phenomenon but still there was respect for values.

Now everything is done in a huff, from launch to pack-up, audio to result. What is more surprising is films are getting delayed, postponed and badly bruised.

Of late there have been many films that deferred the date of release due to what has come to be known as post production work. Announcing the date first and working at breakneck speed has become a fad which will have its ill-effects.

Dabbawallas will take a day off on August 16

Mumbai, August 5: Extending support to social activist Anna Hazare over the Lokpal Bill issue, Mumbai's famous dabbawallas (lunch-box carriers) on Friday said there would be no service on August 16, the day he proposed to start his hunger strike.
About 4,500-5,000 dabbawallas transport some 2,00,000 homemade lunch packs every day at a very low fee and with surprising punctuality. But not on August 16.
"We support Anna Hazare in his fight for the strong Lokpal Bill. On August 16, when Annaji would go on a fast, we have decided to show our support by asking our customers not to give tiffins for delivery,' said President o .... Read More
