Assistant Professor in Anti-Corruption Bureau net

Hyderabad, Aug 1(Hyderabad Deccan News): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught red-handed Dr Devulapalli Chiranjeevi (52), Assistant Professor, Plastic Surgery, Burns Ward, K G H, Visakhapatnam, at his private clinic on July 30, when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 5,000 as a bribe from the complainant for extending better treatment to the wife of the complainant.
The tainted bribe amount of Rs 5,000 was recovered from Dr Chiranjeevi after Chemical test yielded positive result, a release from ACB said here today.
Dr Chiranjeevi was arrested and produced before the III Additional District Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Visakhapatnam, the release added.
