Spinal Beetle moves through Pak on last leg of `Southasian' journey


ISLAMABAD, November 15: By way of raising $110,000 for the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Nepal, the Spinal Beetle Rally has had moderate success. According to a tweet by veteran "journalist from Nepal" as opposed to "Nepali journalist", Kanak Mani Dixit, "have raised about half of what we need". This was on Sunday as he was leaving Lahore and the 10-day fund-raising road journey in a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle through three countries winds up on Wednesday.

SANAA, November 25: Yemeni officials say heavy fighting has broken out in the capital Sanaa between security forces and an army unit that joined the popular uprising against autocratic President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
