National Workshop on "Hunar Se Rozgar"
Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has invited State Tourism Development Corporations to a one day National Workshop to be held here tomorrow to join hands to promote the "Hunar Se Rozgar" initiative for skill development of Indian youth for employment. India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is the premier implementing agency for the initiative.
The Workshop will be inaugurated by Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, Union Minister for Tourism and will sensitize the stake holders on "Hunar Se Rozgar" initiative and motivate them into action mode. The occasion will also see the release of a brochure of "Hunar Se Rozgar", a Compendium of "Hunar Se Rozgar", a Compendium in Computer and a Radio Jingle.
The initiative "Hunar Se Rozgar" has been well received and is one of the successful ventures of the Ministry of Tourism. Youth trained under this scheme have been absorbed in various prestigious hotel chains where they are performing commendably. Thus encouraged, ITDC, under "Hunar Se Rozgar" banner, has plans to start the training scheme in new trade courses which are designed to enhance the employability aspect basis the demand of the industry viz. Front Office, Security, Retail Marketing and Drivers.
