Kolkata hosts The 96th edition of Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF)

The 96th edition of Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) opened at Netaji Indore Stadium & Khudiram Anushilan Kendra in Kolkata on Friday(13 July, 2012), bringing together 256 participants from 27 Indian states & 10 countries. The Fair was inaugurated in the presence of West Bengal Tourism Minister Rachpal Singh, Amrita Rawat, Uttarakhand Minister of Tourism, Hoticulture, Culture, Women Empowerment & Child Welfare & Renewable Energy and Abida Islam, Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh.The participating countries are Bangladesh, Dubai, Nepal, Thailand, Muritius, Denmark, Egypt, Kenya and Maldives and the Indian states that are participating are Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Andra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Lakshwadeep, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

Jayalalithaa elected as AIADMK legislature party leader, Panneerselvam to resign Chennai, May 22, 2015: The lawmakers of AIADMK party on Friday elected their general secretary J. Jayalalithaa as the leader of the legislature party, a party leader said.

In a meeting held at the party headquarters here in the morning, AIADMK legislators unanimously elected Jayalalithaa as the leader of the legislature party, said the leader who did not want to be named.

"It was a short meeting mainly to elect Amma (Jayalalithaa) as the AIADMK's legislature party leader," he told IANS.
