Kolkata eatery Hatari opens new branch
Kolkata, July 8 (IBNS): Multi-cuisine eatery of Kolkata 'Hatari Restaurant Pvt. Ltd. opened its new branch at Behala on Saturday.
The restaurant was first opened in 1966 at Triangular Park and then a unit was opened at Golf Green.
The Managing Director of the eatery, Samarendra Mukherjee, said: "My father founded this eatery and was named after Howard Hawks' film 'Hatari'."
Talking about the third outlet of the eatery, he said: "We have customers who travel from far ends of Kolkata. So, we thought that reaching out to them will be a good idea."
"Many of our customers requested to open up a new outlet at Behala or its adjoining areas."
Speaking about the specialty of 'Hatari', Samarendra Mukherjee said: "When 'Hatari' was started it was absolutely a Chinese restaurant, but later on we introduced Indian cuisine also. Recently we have opened another section named 'Oriental', where we are serving Chinese and Thai cuisines."
Many television stars including Joyjit Banerjee, Kanchan Mallik, Meghna Halder, Sudipta, Surojit, Anindya Sarkar were present at the event.
