Unique Distance mode, "Prevention' oriented Environmental Diploma Program launched
Nagpup (Hyderabad Deccan news):Centre for Responsible Business Leadership (CRESIL), a centre for higher learning based at Nagpur and Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, one of the leading universities in central India, together have launched a Post Graduate Diploma Program in Preventive Environmental Management (PGDPEM), which would be offered in the distance learning mode. The course was officially launched by Shri Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, MLA, Amravati District at the University campus on 15th June, 2010.
Since environmental Protection is the crying need of the hour, this PGDPEM course, is a step further ahead as it will expose the students to the important principles of Preventive Environmental Management (PEM) and equips them with the techniques and strategies that would help prevent the occurrence of activities leading to any kind of environmental hazard, thereby offering tremendous potential of converting environmental threats into business opportunities. In today's times, students with such capacities and skills are much sought-after by the industry.
PGDPEM is a 2 years program divided into 4 semesters: Core courses, Specialisation and Project work and the five core courses are designed to provide a general understanding of the PEM concepts. Highlight of the program is that it is a first-of-its-kind need based, business focused and solution oriented, distance mode, environmental management program.
It is open to both freshers and working professionals. The distinctiveness of the PGDPEM program lies in international business orientation, professional enhancement, enterprise business and industry focus with strong market orientation. Thus, PGDPEM accredited by Amravati University and designed and developed by industry experts, is a first of its kind, environmental management program to be offered by any university.
