Two robbers of "Suri" gang arrested by Crime team of ACP Chikkadpally Division

Hyderabad April 21/2012 (Hyderabad Deccan News) : The special crime team of ACP Chikkadpally division arrested two robbers on 20-04-2012 who were absconding since 3 years.

Gopi Simhal S/o Sriram age 25 years and Cheruku Sravan S/o Suresh age 23 years both are r/o Achayyanagar were involved in a auto jacking and robbery case of Musheerabad along with two other in the year 2009 were absconding since then. The other two accused Dasari Surendra and Pamakunta Naresh were arrested on 16-8-2009 and after trial they were convicted for two years imprisonment.

Today at 6 AM the Divisional crime team under the supervision of Inspector Mohammad Riyazuddin of Musheerabad PS, consist of SI Kaude Mutyalu PCs DT. Ramesh, Venkatesh, Moadhu, Naidu and Ramesh laid a trap at Metro Cafe and arrested Gopi Simhal and Cheruku Sravan who were traveling on a stolen bike with out number plate. On interrogation they spell the beans and confessed that, the bike was stolen by them yesterday at Ramnagar. The bike was seized from their possession. The duo was the members of notorious Suri gang consist of 6 members, who were involved in more than 30 robbery cases and 14 vehicle lifting cases. 4 members of Suri gang including the Suri were arrested by the same team about 10 days back and remanded to judicial custody.

The M.O of the above gang members is that, they chose lonely persons during the night, and rob them by thrashing them. The gang was also involved in carjacking cases under the limits of Chilkalaguda and Afzalgunj police stations.

The arrested accused were remanded to judicial custody. Sri. N.Chandra Sekhara Reddy Asst. Commissioner of Police Chikkadpally Division commended the efforts made by the team.
