Sub Treasury Officer, Vijayawada in ACB Net


June 19/2013 : Ch.Rani, Sub Treasury Officer, O/o District Treasury Office (West), Vijayawada was caught red handed by the A.C.B. officials on 19.6.2013 at 4.45 p.m. in her office chambers when she demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant P. Jaya Laxmikanth, Junior Assistant (T.A. Bill Clerk), Govt. Railway Police, Vijayawada, to process the T.A. Bill of the month of April, 2013 amounting to Rs.6.72 Lakhs of Govt. Railway Police, Vijayawada.

The both hand fingers of S.T.O. yielded positive result in chemical test. The bribe amount of Rs.20,000/- was recovered from the right side upper drawer of the table desk of the S.T..O. in her chambers and the paper found in the table drawer also yielded positive result in chemical test. The relevant records were seized.

The accused officer was arrested and being produced before the Hon'ble Court of Special Judge for SPE & A.C.B. Cases at Vijayawada.

Case is under investigation.
