Resignations no solution: Ponguleti

Hyderabad, Jan 22(Staff Reporter): Asserting that resignations of the legislators and MPs should be the last resort in the movement for achieving separate Telangana state, the AICC secretary, Mr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, has appealed to all the political parties to set aside their individual agendas and remain united for the cause of separate Telangana. Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Mr Sudhakar Reddy said that the Political JAC should have collective thought not only in words but also in deeds. Stating that the Centre was seriously considering to give Telangana state, he reiterated his faith in the Congress high command saying that Ms Sonia Gandhi would make a favourable statement on the formation of Telangana state before January 28. The AICC secretary appealed to all the political parties and students to refrain from making any provocative statements. Referring to the padayatra undertaken by the JAC students, he said that it was peaceful and receiving tremendous support from the people of the region. He also urged all political parties and affiliates to set aside their political agendas, flags and come under one umbrella and take the movement forward instead of fighting for individual political agendas.
