Ponguleti demands probe into Rs. 7 cr cash
Hyderabad, June 18: AICC Secretary Mr. Ponguleti Sudhakara Reddy has demanded a CB-CID probe into the Rs. 7 crore cash found in the vehicle of a TDP leader in Anantapur district on Wednesday.
Mr. Reddy on Friday met the Chief Minister Mr K Rosaiah here and presented a memorandum urging him to immediately order the probe.
It my be recalled that the Telugu Yuvatha state Secretary Mr P Hari Babu's father Mr P Ramakrishnaiah Naidu and four of his friends were caught by the police with unaccounted cash of Rs.seven crores in two cars.
POLICE SEEK PERMISSION TO DEPOSIT CASH IN COURT
Meanwhile, a report from Anantapur said that the police had filed a petition in the local court, seeking permission to deposit the money seized in Kadiri in the court.
The Income Tax authorities are also trying to file a petition in the court, seeking permission to probe the finding of the cash.
