Muslim Delegation called on N Kiran Kumar Reddy

Hyderabad February 18/2012 (Hyderabad Deccan News) : A delegation led by Mr. Abid Rasool Khan General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee and other members i.e. Justice E. Ismail, Moulana Syed Shah Asrar Hussain Razvi, Moulana Syed Shah Fazlullah Quadri, Saheb, Moulana Syed Shah Auhlia Hussaini, Moulana Fasiuddin Nizami, Moulana Liaqat Hussain Razvi and Janab Khaja Khaleelullah, Former Chairman HUDA.

This high power delegation led by Mr. Abid Rasool Khan and comprising of intellectuals and Ulemas congratulated Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Sri Botsa Satyanarayana, APCC President who is also present there, for increasing the direct budget allocation to Minorities by 200 crores. They expressed their happiness that with this allocation the number of welfare schemes pertaining to minorities which were not being implemented for want of budget allocation, like Margin Money loans, mass marriages, modernization of Wakf Board, Urdu Academy etc. will not be implemented to benefit the minorities.

They also requested the Hon'ble Chief Minister to allocate a separate budget of Rs. 200 crores for repairs of religious places like Masque and Dargh and protection of grave yards. They pointed out that these repairs were not carried out for many years due to High Court Stay which was recently vacated.

They also requested the Hon'ble Chief Minister to issue instructions to Social Welfare Department, Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu and BC Welfare Department for equitable distribution of funds for minorities specially Muslims in BC-'E' category.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister appreciated there gesture of calling personally on him for thanking him and agreed to consider the request made favourably.
