Minister to take immediate measures for the development of Mecca Masjid-Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Dec 26 (THD News): Mr. Mohammed Ahmadullah the Hon'ble Minister for Minorities Welfare, Primary Education, S.S.A and Public Libraries, Government of Andhra Pradesh, have visited the Mecca Masjid at Charminar, Hyderabad on several occasions like Shabe-e-Barath, Shabe-e-Qadar during the Holy month of Ramzan. The Minister is very keen to take measures for the development of the Mecca Masjid, which is a historical monument. During the visit Hon'ble Minister has reiewed the matter with various departmental authorities and has given directions. Accordingly, Tourism and Culture Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh have released grant of Rs. 19.65 lakhs and directed the Director of Archaeology and Museums to take up work like certain repairs, renewal works and Archeological Chemical Conservation works of Mecca Masjid Complex. The Minister is committed to put in more efforts and to give directions to the Officials whenever necessary. The works will be started very soon by the Archeology Department.
