MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy asserts N Chandrababu Naidu reverses stand on Telengana
Hyderabad, August 13 (INN): AICC Secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Tuesday accused Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of reversing his stand on Telangana State.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises here, Ponguleti said that Naidu had earlier written a letter to the Centre supporting formation of Telangana. When Telangana was announced by the Congress Working Committee on July 30, he wrote another letter to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh asking the Centre to bear the cost of Rs 4-5 lakh crore for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. However, now Naidu appears to have reversed his stand as he is demanding an all-party panel to address the concerns of Seemandhra people.
Ponguleti also condemned the remarks of TDP MP CM Ramesh against Congress president Sonia Gandhi during the debate in Rajya Sabha on Monday.
