'Lagadapati visit to RTA mischievous'

Hyderabad, Sept 27: Taking exception to the visit of the Vijayawada MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, to the RTA office reportedly to console the officer, the Congress MLCs, Mr K Yadava Reddy and Mr K R Amos, have said that the former's visit was meant to provoke the people of Telangana, who were determinedly agitating for State bifurcation.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Mr Yadava Reddy said that the Telangana protagonists were not forcing anybody to support the ongoing Telangana movement. He alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were intentionally magnifying trivial incidents into big and seeking protection to the Seemandhra employees.
Stating that the Telangana Sakala Janula Samme was going on peacefully, he urged the Centre to respond immediately. Though the entire world took notice of the ongoing general strike in the region, the Centre remained calm even as the world media was giving priority to the ongoing strike in the Telangana region. Appealing to the Centre to announce its decision on Telangana by end of this month or in the first week of October, he said that the MLCs will leave for Delhi on Wednesday.
Mr Amos appealed to the Chief Minister to go to Delhi and apprise the high command about the situation prevailing in the State instead of making false allegations against the Telangana leaders. He also advised the Chief Minister to make efforts to help solve the Telangana issue.
Meanwhile, the Primary Education Minister and Seemandhra Public Representatives' Convener, Dr S Sailajanath, said that there was nothing wrong in the Vijayawada MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, visiting the RTA office as he has a right to speak to the victim in a democratic country.
