Illegal sale of foriegn liquor bottles - One held


Hyderabad November 25 (Hyderabad Deccan News) : The sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force, Central Zone Team on a tip off apprehended an accused by name Pabbishetty Sambasiva Rao, who is into the business of sale of foreign liquor bottles of different brands illegally. Seized 26 blended Scotch whisky bottles.

NAME OF THE ACCUSED:

Pabbishetty Sambasiva Rao S/o.Late Koteswara Rao, age 58 years, Occ.Business R/o.Flat No.303, Mount Fort, Pragathinagar, Kukatpally, Cyberabad N/o.Flat No.402, Vigneshwara Towers, Amaravathi Road, Guntur District.




MODUS OPERANDI OF THE ACCUSED:

The accused Pabbishetty Sambasiva Rao is native of Guntur. Basically he is into the business of mobiles at Guntur. During the course of his business hHe developed bad habits such as playing cards, consuming liquor etc. As his earnings are very meager to lead lavish life, he intended to sell foreign liquor bottles to the needy customers and earn money in easy way. To execute his plan, he developed contacts with the customers who consume Foreign Liquor at Hyderabad. According to his plan he is securing Foreign Liquor bottles from one Mr.Maram Anjaneyulu of Narasaraopet, Guntur District at low price and supplying them to the needy customers in Hyderabad at high price, basing on the orders received from customers. He used to place the orders on Anjaneyulu, who in turn supply the foreign liquor bottles from Narsaraopet to Hyderabad through the Courier and Cargo services of Morning Star Travels, Opp: HUDA Complex, Ameerpet, Hyderabad. The accused is procuring each bottle of Red Label blended Scotch Whisky for Rs.1,600/-, Black Label blended Scotch whisky for Rs.2,200/- and Chivas Regal blended Scotch Whisky for Rs.2,500/- from Anjaneyulu and selling the same at a price of Rs.1,900/-, Rs.2,900/- and Rs.3,000/- respectively to the customers at Hyderabad. On receipt of order from some of the customers during last week, he placed an order for (26) foreign liquor bottles of Red, Black and Chivas Regal blended scotch whisky bottles on Anjaneyulu. According to the order placed by the accused, the accused received Foreign Liquor Bottles (26) of Red Label Whisky (18), Black Label Whisky (4) and Chivas Regal Whisky (4) packed in 2 Carton Boxes from M/s.Morning Star Travels, Opp:HUDA Complex, Ameerpet, Hyderabad. After collecting Foreign Liquor bottles (26), while the accused was waiting for the customers to deliver the same in front of M/s.Morning Star Travels, Opp:HUDA complex, Ameerpet, Hyderabad on a tip off the accused was apprehended by the sleuths of Commissioners Task Force for possession and sale of Foreign Liquor Bottles illegally.

Details of the seized property.
1. Johnnie Walker Red Label blended Scotch whisky (18) bottles each containing 1 liter of foreign liquor.

2. Johnnie Walker Black Label Old Scotch whisky (04) bottles each containing 1 liter of foreign liquor.

3. Chivas Regal premium Scotch whisky (04) bottles each containing 1 liter of foreign liquor.


The accused along with seized Foreign liquor bottles (26) worth Rs.1,00,000/- are handed over to the Station House Officer, Sanjeevareddy Nagar Police Station, Hyderabad for taking necessary action.
The arrest made under the supervision of Sri Ch.Ramachander, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Commissioners Task Force, Sri Ch.Y.Srinivas Kumar, Inspector of Police with the assistance of SI Sri K.Satish and the Staff of Central Zone Team, Commissioner's Task Force, Hyderabad.
