Illegal Filling And Sale Of Domestic Gas

Hyderabad, Nov 25(Hyderabad Deccan News): On 24-11-2011 the sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force, West Zone Team on credible information apprehended the accused who is illegally filling the domestic gas in to small commercial cylinders and selling at high price. Seized (2) Domestic Gas Cylinders, (24) 3 Kg cylinders and two refill pins with pipe & valves used for filling gas from his possession.
Accused:
Badania Shashikanth, S/o B.Jawarlal, 35 years, occ: Auto trolley driver, r/o 14-8-346/7, Jumerath Bazar, opp. Shahinayathgunj School, Shahinayathgunj, Hyderabad
Details of the case:
The accused Shashikanth was born and brought up in Hyderabad. He is auto trolley driver by profession. Earlier he did ID liquor transporting and was sent to jail in the year 1996. Since his earnings are not sufficient to meet the family expenses. Then he has started illegal gas filling business in his house. He induce and procure gas cylinders (domestic gas, which is supplied to house hold customers) from local delivery boys of Jyothi Agency, Begumbazar by paying an amount of Rs.650/- for each cylinder (14.2 Kgs). He purchase the domestic gas cylinders weekly once from the local delivery boys and refill the gas in to 5 small gas cylinder. After filling the gas into small cylinders he supply them in the local market as well as to the needy customers each Rs.150/-. He purchase the small empty cylinders at Siddiamber Bazar for each an amount of Rs.250/-.
The accused is directly making huge loss to the Government by diverting the subsidized domestic gas into commercial gas for his personnel benefits.
Besides that, the accused erected the illegal filling unit in residential area and any accident my lead to danger to human life and property.
The accused person and the seized material were handed over to SHO, Shahinayathgunj PS, Hyderabad for taking further necessary action.
The arrests were made under the supervision of Sri Ch. Ramchander, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner's Task Force by Sri J. Narsaiah, Inspector of Police, West Zone Task Force with the assistance of SIs Gattu Mallu, D. Santosh Kumar, K. Sunil and Staff of West Zone Team, Commissioner's Task Force Hyderabad.
