Honeywell opens new R&D Centre in Hyderabad

Ather Hasan - Hyderabad, 23 Jan: Technology solutions giant Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab Pvt Ltd of USA today opened its new global Research and Development unit in Nanakramguda Hyderabad. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy inaugurated the facility as well laid foundation stone of next phase of expansion of its campus. The new office is constructed with a cost of Rs 100 Crore. This facility has already got 600 engineers working and will add more in coming months.
Honeywell Technologies is engaged in diversified businessa€™ from Aerospace to other control business solutions. Ita€™s not an IT company directly but uses IT for the precision of its technology since long time, 50% of the commercial flight operations are controlled by using Honeywell technology so as engine operations of Automobiles. Honeywell has its presence apart from India in China and Europe as well.
Speaking on this occasion Chief Minister Kiran Kumar said that His government is committed to provide world class facilities to the companies who are setting up their offices in AP, particularly in Hyderabad, despite the disturbances the industry has grown considerably last year where IT exports has surpassed Rs 30,000 crores. There were new recruitments going on as against the anticipation of those who were feeling that it will slow down. He thanked Honeywell for their initiative and inviting him. Before this Dr. Krishna Mikkilineni Senior VP, gave welcome address and expressed his happiness that his company has not only opened its global lab here but also got right kind of personnel recruited for Honeywell. Ms. Ratna Prabha IAS Principal Secretary IT Govt. of AP, Ponalla Lakshmaiah Minister of Technology also addressed the gathering and thanked all those who have invested in Hyderabad particularly Honeywell solutions.
