Haj flights from Hyd to start on Oct 21
Hyderabad, Sept. 15 2009 (THDa€ˆNEWS): The Minister for Minorities Welfare Mr Mohammed Ahmadullah has stated that the special flights to carry the Haj pilgrims from the State will start from October 21. In a statement here, the Minister said that in all, 15 flights, each with a capacity of 417 seats, would take -off from the Haj terminal of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, to Madina Munnawara in Saudi Arabia. The last flight will take-off on November 6. He said the return flights from Jeddah, after completion of Haj, will be operated from December 3 to 17. With the receipt of the flight schedule, the State Haj Committee has decided to hold the embarkation point meeting with officials of various Central and State Government Departments and Airlines on September 30, the Minister added. He said the Haj committee officials were working hard even on holidays to complete the process of procuring and submitting the passports of selected pilgrims.
