Don't politicise Amalapuram incident: Dy Speaker
Hyderabad, Jan 24 (INN): Assembly Deputy Speaker Mallu Batti Vikramarka on Tuesday described the disfiguring of Dr B R Ambedkar's statues in Amalapuram as an assault on the Indian Constitution.
Talking to media persons at his chambers in the legislative assembly premises, Batti Vikramarka took serious note of the incident and stated that the State Government has already ordered probe into the incident and directed the police to trace the culprits, who are responsible for the incident.
Stating that the government was taking measures to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in future, he called upon all sections of people to observe restraint and help the police to maintain law and order.
He asked the opposition parties not to politicize the issue to get mileage on the incident. (INN)
