Hyderabad, July 8 (Hyderabad Deccan News): On 07-07-2010 on credible information the sleuths of Commissionera€™s Task Force, West Zone, Hyderabad apprehended two accused persons namely Mohanlal and Laxmibai and seized gold coated brass chains weighing about 4 kilograms and one cell phone with four SIM cards from their possession.
MODUS OPERANDI: Investigation revealed that the accused persons namely Mohanlal and Laxmibai are native of Gujrath state. The income getting through their earnings is not sufficient for their needs, so they came to Hyderabad about one month back to cheat the innocent public by saying that they have gold chains of ancient age and they intend to sell the same at cheaper rate. First they will give the original gold for sample for verification to the customer, after verification when the customer approaches after receiving the money from the party they will give fake gold.
On 16-06-2010, the duo approached a Doctor by name S.G. Moazam at his clinic at a€oeSugar Apollo Clinic for Diabeticsa€, Mehdipatnam and by using the above modus operandi they cheated to a tune of Rs.5 lakhs. On 07-07-2010, the accused persons were apprehended at Ayodhya Nagar, Mehdipatnam while they were waiting there with an intention to cheat the party. The arrested accused persons along with seized material handed over to S.H.O, Asifnagar PS for taking necessary action. The other accused Secunder is absconding. The apprehension was made under the supervision of Sri V.B. Kamalasan Reddy, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Hyderabad and Sri J. Narsaiah, Inspector of Police, West Zone Task Force, Sub-Inspectors of Police, S/Sri L. Raja Venkat Reddy, S. Rajasekhar Reddy, G. Naveen Kumar and the Staff of West Zone Task Force Team, Hyderabad.
