Arrogant Jagan is enamored of power: Chiru
Kadapa, May 1: The Praja Rajyam Party president, Mr K Chiranjeevi, on Sunday said that TV channels were the irrefutable evidence to prove that the former Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, sending Congress legislators to him to help make him (Jagan) chief minister of the State after the tragic demise of his father Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
The former megastar fired second salvo against the YSR Congress Party chief during his electioneering on behalf of the Congress candidate, Mr D L Ravindra Reddy, on Sunday. Mr Chiranjeevi said that Mr Jagan's oft-repeated threat to dislodge the Congress government in the State was an example of his arrogance and lust for power. While addressing the people, Mr Chiranjeevi asked whether Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy emphatically say that his huge assets were legally and honestly earned.
Referring to his party's merger with the Congress party, Mr Chiranjeevi claimed that all the party activists and fans were welcoming the proposal wholeheartedly. The response from them was more than expected, he added.
Asserting that the electorate in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency and Pulivendula Assembly seat were eagerly waiting to exercise their franchise in favour of the Congress party, the former megastar warned that physical attacks by Jagan's followers would achieve anything. He also alleged that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was orchestrating physical attacks on him by his mercenaries as he was scared of his impending defeat in Kadapa.
Mr Chiranjeevi said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy caustic remarks against Ms Sonia Gandhi amounted to insulting the entire women in the State. He also alleged that the YSR Congress Party chief was prepared to take the Muslim minorities for a ride and ditch them by his false promises.
