Anti-Corruption Bureau Unearths Assets Worth Over Rupees 50 Lakhs Belongs To Chief Planning Officer.

Vizianagaram, Sept. 11 2009 (THDa€ˆNEWS): Simultaneous searches were conducted by ACB Officials over the Residential Houses of Sri Gandupalli Venkata Surya Prakasa Rao, S/o Late G.V.Ramana, age 52 years, Chief Planning Officer, Vizianagaram District on 11.09.2009 and his relatives residences at Vizianagaram and Srikakulam Districts. Searches resulted in unearthing assets worth over Rupees Fifty Lakhs.The total assets include (3) Three Buildings - One each at Visakhapatnam Town, Vizianagaram Town and Srikakulam Town, One TATA Indica Car, Gold weighing 16 tulas W/Rs. 1,00,000/-, Silver Ornaments W/Rs. 7,000/-, LIC premia W/Rs. 50,000/-, Bank Balance W/Rs. 12,000/- and Household articles W/Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Case is under investigation. In Another Case:-- Sri R. Jagadeeswara Reddy, former Prohibition & Excise Inspector, Penukonda, Anantapur district has been dismissed from service by the Government following his conviction by the Addl. Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad. Earlier, Sri R. Jagadeeswara Reddy, former Prohibition & Excise Inspector, Penukonda was trapped by the ACB officials on 27-4-2002 at his house when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.5,000/- as illegal gratification from the complainant for doing official favour of not booking a case against Yaswanth Wines, Somandepalli Anantapur district.
