AP State level photography competition on August 19, 2013



Hyderabad, July 11, 2013: On the occasion of World Photography Day the information and Public Relations Department on behalf of Government of AP is conducting a State-level photography competition on various concepts/themes on August 19.

The competitions will be held in three salons on six-themes/subjects. Entries should be sent in ( 8' x 12' ) or (10' x 12') size in colour for the concepts/themes of all the three salons. The participant may send a maximum of five entries per theme / concept.

The concepts/themes categorized in First salon are Bangaru Talli (Girl Child), Amma Hastam (Food for all), Indiramma Kalalu (SC/ST sub plan). The second salon Right to Education (Badi Baata), Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, Mahila Lokam and in the third salon Best News Picture of AP.

The best entries will be adjudged by a committee of judges and will be awarded first, second and their prizes besides ten consolation prizes in each salon. The prize money will be Rs 15,000 for first best entry, Rs 10,000 for second best entry, Rs 6,000 for third best entry and Rs 3,000 as consolation prize. Names and other particulars of the participants should be written on the back-side of each entry. Photos taken after Aug-2012 are only eligible for competition.

Entries should be sent to the Deputy Director (Photo & Exhibition), Information and Public Relations Department, II Floor, Samachar Bhavan, AC Guards, Hyderabad -500028 on or before 31st July 2013.

Hyderabad Police launches She Teams to curb eve teasing

Hyderabad, Oct 24/2014: The city police on Friday launched 100 "She Team" to curb eve teasing in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The "She Teams" will be working under direct supervision of Swati Lakra Addl. Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT. The City Police have already identified and plotted the places and timings where eve teasing is prominent. These places are under surveillance of these teams.
