Apple iPad 2 hits Indian market


Mumbai, April 29 : PC maker Apple said its much awaited Apple iPad 2 will finally hit the Indian market Friday.
"iPad 2 will be available at select Apple authorised retailers at 9 a.m. local time," the company said in a statement.
The company also said that it has launched the tablet computer in 10 more countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore and South Africa Friday.
iPad 2 is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad, while it maintains the same 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen. The tablet PC delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.
iPad 2 with wi-fi is priced at Rs.29,500 for the 16 GB model, Rs.34,500 for 32 GB model and Rs.39,500 for the 64 GB model.
While iPad 2 with Wi-Fi and 3G is available for Rs.36,900 for the 16 GB model, Rs.41,900 for the 32 GB model and Rs.46,900 for the 64 GB model. (Agencies)
